Tarksol PVB Wash Primer is a VOC compliant metal primer that will dry in minutes. Tarksol PVB Wash Primer is a clear single package primer also known as a “reacted” wash primer. It has excellent stability in both concentrated and diluted forms and air dries to a clear glossy film of very low color. Tarksol PVB Wash Primer possesses good adhesion to steel, phosphated steel, galvanized steel, brass, copper, wood, stainless steel and chrome plate. Although designed to enhance adhesion, this coating also functions as a corrosion-inhibiting primer for a variety of topcoats, but in many cases may afford protection as the sole coating. Tarksol PVB Wash Primer is produced with Tarksone, a VOC compliant solvent that allows the protective coating to dry in minutes. This product complies with all Federal and state VOC Regulations.

Environmental:

Tarksol PVB Wash Primer is a solvent based corrosion-inhibiting primer that meets all Federal and state VOC Regulations. (See MSDS). Tarksol PVB Wash Primer is chromate free.

Wash Primers:

Traditional wash primers have generally employed zinc chromate as the anticorrosive pigment. Due to toxicity concerns associated with chromates, alternative anticorrosion pigments are used in Tarksol PVB Wash Primer.
