The ARK Patent Company, LLC, is a holding Company for patents on "environmentally correct" technology. It is the goal, of the company to partner, license, or joint venture with a company established in the chemical specialty field serving industrial and institutional markets. A partner, licensee, or joint venture with a company with established sales force and marketing. Tarksol, Inc. is a master Licensee of The ARK Patent Company, LLC.

Tarksol

Tarksol is a registered trademark for the ARK Patent Company, LLC’s line of environmentally correct patented products. The Tarksol products consist of aqueous, semi-aqueous, and solvent products that meet all Environmental Regulations. Some companies promote environmental products that do not meet all environmental requirements. The Tarksol products meet all the requirements and outperform most products on the market today, including 1-1-1 trichlor, methylene chloride, m-pyrol, and many others. Test results available upon request.

Functional summary

The Tarksol technology is protected under 3 United States patents. They are 5,112,516, 5,393,451, and 5,498,805, including an issued Mexican patent and patent applications filed in all countries belonging to the Patent Convention Treaty.

The patents cover the technology of the Tarksol 97, a natural biomass alcohol.. The patents, also, apply to aqueous cleaners and degreasers based on Tarksol 97 and solvent blends. Aqueous cleaning solvents are Tarksol 97 emulsified into a water-based product, resulting in a solvent performing in a water phase. The Tarksol solvent is emulsified with mild surfactants resulting in the use of less solvent (VOC concerns) and does not affect the environmentally safe properties of the Tarksol 97. Aqueous solvent cleaners and degreasers can be altered by different surfactants and builders to design a product for all types of cleaning requirements. The Tarksol 97 is blended with other environmentally safe solvents to engineer a patented solvent offering properties that are not obtained by single solvent component.

Our plan is to license, partner, or enter into a joint venture with a national company with a strong background in specialty chemicals to market and sell the Tarksol products. We have found independent reps to be sporadic in representing these products due to their limited expertise compared to what is required to sell these new and unique products. We have discovered that many regional chemical distributors are little more than order takers without any technical ability to develop markets requiring more than chemical sales support. The importance of an educated sales force becomes more important as we present a new and technical "Total Solution" product.

Background

The Montreal Protocol calling for the phase out of ozone depleting chemicals was strengthened by the Clean Air Act signed into law by President Bush on November 15, 1990. With evidence of continuing degradation of the ozone layer, President Bush moved forward the phase out of these chemicals to December 31, 1995.

Even with the knowledge of the phase out of certain solvents, the marketplace has been slow to react and special interest groups have had an impact on Congress. However, while interest in environmentally correct solvents has moved forward slowly, the process had been under estimated. The Title V Air Quality Permit Regulations of the Clean Air Act is behind schedule and in many states, they have not implemented the regulations. OSHA regulations, which mandated the use of safer cleaning products, were revised by Congress. The momentum, however, has developed within industry to change solvents and cleaners to "greener" and more environmentally friendly products. It is obvious the current slowdown in environmental regulations will change again in the near future. The strong interest in environmental products is beginning again due to the European ISO 14,000. The ISO 14,000 is similar to the Quality ISO 9,000 except it is an environmental certification. Companies doing business with an ISO 14,000 business must certify they use environmentally safe products.

The delay in converting industrial processes has permit Tatksol, Inc. to develop a series of industrial, commercial, institutional and retail products for various applications. This resulted in feedback from various market and field testing of several products. We have created a line of effective aqueous, semi-aqueous, and solvent products from the emerging data. Excellent results have been related to us by our distributors and others with regard to product applications and performance.

Uses for our product line include metal degreasing, parts washers, paint stripping, resin clean up solvent, blanket wash, analox roller cleaner, and many more. The pulp and paper industry was emerging with new and interesting results. Institutional and consumer product demands are becoming large due to new environmental laws affecting the current products. These applications are only a few of the total potentials for the Tarksol technology..
